PNE helps new riders to get started whether your a rider, volunteer or spectator , supports members to compete regionally or beyond awarding members that progress and succeed or internally members can challenge for and win club trophies or records.
British Cycling Road racing licence categories are based on points gained. Points are awarded to full members riding for Portsmouth North End. Riders achieving Cat3 level are awarded a Podium Jersey on behalf of the committee in recognition of their competitive success and representation of the club.
The club welcomes all new riders to the Race Team (RT) and is especially keen to recruit youth and junior riders of any standard who wish to test their ability in circuit and track cycle racing. Road racing for U23 and above spans circuits and the road across the full range of race categories.
