{"id":502,"date":"2021-07-23T07:06:40","date_gmt":"2021-07-23T07:06:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pnecc.net\/wordpress\/?page_id=502"},"modified":"2024-10-07T10:18:28","modified_gmt":"2024-10-07T10:18:28","slug":"time-trials","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pnecc.org\/index.php\/time-trials\/","title":{"rendered":"Time Trials"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">PNECC operate an active calendar of Club and Open Time Trial events within the region.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>The club is affiliated to Cycling Time Trials (CTT) which is the UK governing body for Time Trials.\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">The club us based within<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/south.ctt.org.uk\/\">CTT South District <\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0 our events are conducted in accordance with the <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk\/\">CTT guidelines<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>PNECC Time trials are open for all to enter or <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/F7y6Akv7MIw\">Come and Try<\/a> and run every fortnight on a Thursday.<\/li>\r\n<li>Time Trail run from the Start of April to the end of September. The Thursday Time Trials are typically run out of Wickham Community Centre.<\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span>You will need a bike (preferably a road bike), a helmet that fits and a working rear light.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Competitors need to be age 12 or over. Under 18 riders will need to provide a completed Cycling Time Trials Parental Consent form, which you can fill in when you sign on or <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/ttresults.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CTTConsentForm.doc\">here<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li>If you like it TTs why not join PNE and\u00a0 compete in our Club Time Trial League.<\/li>\r\n<li>Member can also qualify to officiate and volunteer. The rider must ride in the same gear ratio throughout the course, this is 72\u2033 or the closest gear ratio you can get under this, calculate gear ratios\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bikecalc.com\/gear_inches\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>. The bike does not have to be a fixed wheel, i.e. you can have a free wheel.<\/li>\r\n<li>The club also hosts a 25 mile open event in June.<\/li>\r\n<li>Our last Time Trial of the season is a Hill Climb that runs from Southwick to the top of Portsdown Hill. It is run on a Sunday morning before the start of the Club Run.
